Job summary

Teacheroo is recruiting a Gate and Crossing Attendant for The Glasgow Academy. The role provides high-quality site support to ensure the estate is safe, secure, clean and well maintained during normal operating hours.

42.5 hours per week with one Saturday every four weeks, supporting security and safe access across the campus. Key duties include maintaining a visible campus presence, carrying out security checks, responding to alarms, monitoring access, and assisting with fire safety and weekend

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence on campus.
• Undertake regular security checks of designated buildings, grounds, gates and access points.
• Respond to security and fire alarms in line with school procedures.
• Escalate any suspected incidents to the appropriate manager or emergency services.
• Monitor access to the campus and challenge unauthorised persons as required.
• Open and secure buildings in line with procedures (Saturday shift).
• Carry out routine checks relating to fire safety and keep exits clear.
• Support with setting up and clearing rooms for events during weekend rotations.
