Job summary

London Business School is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson to ensure a safe, reliable campus experience. You will work with the Facilities team to respond to urgent issues and carry out planned maintenance across the campus.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and plumbing expertise, proficiency with TREND BMS and CAFM systems, and strong communication to coordinate with contractors and staff. A Monday–Friday shift pattern and on-campus presence are required.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in mechanical maintenance (Level 2 City & Guilds or NVQ)
• Experience in a maintenance environment with mechanical/plumbing focus
• Experience with Building Management Systems (TREND) and CAFM systems
• Proactive problem solving and independent working style
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical and plumbing maintenance across campus, including fault response and planned preventative maintenance.
• Use TREND BMS to diagnose faults and coordinate with the Estates Helpdesk and contractors.
• Maintain accurate work orders and track time and materials in the CAFM system.
• Ensure safety and high workmanship standards, and manage access with stakeholders.
