Job summary

Coventry University Group is seeking a Senior Plumbing & Heating Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair large-scale building services across its estate, including campuses and halls of residence. You will diagnose faults, plan maintenance, and coach apprentices, ensuring compliance and safety.

The role covers regional sites, with travel to Scarborough, Milton Keynes, Central London and Dagenham; occasional overnight stays may be required. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds qualifications in plumbing, heating or ventilation are essential.
• Significant practical experience with heating, ventilation, cold water, hot water and pressure systems.
• Understanding of relevant legislation, health and safety, and industry best practice; ACS qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex faults across building services.
• Lead maintenance activities and support upgrades to estate systems.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and stakeholders for technical guidance.
