Job summary

Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical Maintenance team member to maintain, repair and replace a wide range of mechanical plant and systems across the campus. The role operates under direction of the Mechanical Maintenance Manager and Supervisors, with duties spanning reactive, planned and cyclical maintenance to support core university services.

You will report to the Mechanical Maintenance Manager, work Monday to Friday, 8.45am–4.30pm, and use PLANON for job

Responsibilities

• Reactive, planned and cyclical maintenance tasks on mechanical plant and systems.
• Update task progress using PLANON and close tickets within SLA.
• Identify and report defects and safety hazards promptly.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor and Helpdesk on workload and issues.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and PPE usage.
