Job summary

Henry Blue in Leicester is seeking a maintenance operative to perform planned and reactive upkeep on campus facilities. You will carry out repairs, assist with grounds upkeep and support the Estates team to keep the environment safe for staff, students and visitors.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a mandatory Enhanced DBS check. A proactive, positive approach and good customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, facilities, construction or a trade-based role.
• Experience maintaining buildings and carrying out repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS check essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Complete general building repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Respond to maintenance requests and reported faults.
• Assist with the upkeep of campus buildings and grounds.
• Support the Estates team in maintaining a safe environment.
• Work closely with staff, students, contractors and visitors.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.
