Job summary

University of Bristol is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide preventative and reactive maintenance across the Residential Campus. You will use your mechanical qualifications and experience, work with the DLO and maintenance teams, and operate the building management system to monitor plant and respond to faults.

Key duties include site visits with the mechanical team, liaising with contractors, resolving heating and drainage issues, and conducting planned maintenance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in repair and maintenance of commercial building services.
• Mechanical qualification such as City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Site visits with the mechanical team to support various issues.
• Liaise with specialist contractors.
• Resolving local heating issues and larger heating system faults.
• Investigating water leaks and building drainage issues.
• Responding to ventilation faults and performance issues.
• Performing planned preventative maintenance tasks.
