Job summary

University of Bath is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our in-house maintenance team. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across academic, residential, and sports facilities, mainly on campus with occasional city locations.

Duties include fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of plumbing and related building services, plus small installations and alterations. You should have an Apprenticeship at Level 2+ in Plumbing and Heating, with piping experience in copper, steel, ABS, PVC,

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognised Apprenticeship at Level 2 or above in Plumbing and Heating.
• Experience installing and repairing copper, steel, ABS, PVC, MDPE, and press-fit piping.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Demonstrable electrical skills or willingness to train for them.
• Gas Safe qualification would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance across university facilities.
• Fault finding, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of plumbing and related building services.
• Carry out small to medium installations and alterations.
• Work with other trades where required; may perform defined minor electrical activities if trained.
