Job summary

University of Bristol is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to provide preventative and reactive maintenance across our Residential Campus. You will use your mechanical qualifications and experience to plan and carry out maintenance to prevent faults and rectify issues across the campus.

You will work with the Residential maintenance management team and contractors to schedule jobs, respond to emergencies, and use the Building Management System (BMS) to monitor and record data from

Qualifications

• Significant experience in repair and maintenance of commercial building services.
• Ability to work as part of a team and deliver good customer service.
• Logical approach to fault finding and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the DLO and liaise with contractors.
• Investigate and rectify mechanical faults across the University’s building services.
• Elevate issues to Maintenance Manager when needed.
• Site visits with mechanical team to support issues.
• Liaise with specialist contractors and resolve heating issues.
• Repair building drainage and ventilation issues as required.
• Respond to faults and alarms from the BMS and monitor critical plant.
