Job summary

RNN Group is hiring a Caretaker and Estates Operative at Rotherham College. The role covers estates presence, security, cleaning and room preparation to support a safe, welcoming campus environment.

The position is full-time, 37 hours weekly on a rotating morning/afternoon shift. A Level 2 English and Maths qualification is required or willingness to progress. Salary up to £25,456 per year plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance/security/caretaking roles, preferably in education.
• Level 2 English and Maths qualification or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Open/secure premises and maintain security during the day.
• Assist with cleanliness and grounds upkeep across campus.
• Prepare rooms for use and support staff moves or furniture rearrangements.
• Deliver post and parcels to correct areas to support campus operations.
• Assist in routine maintenance, risk assessments and pre-planned works.
• Respond to emergencies including evacuations and lift faults, and provide first aid when required.
