Job summary

Bishop Burton College is seeking a Caretaker to join our Estates team. You will be responsible for opening and securing buildings, carrying out routine inspections and minor repairs, and setting up rooms for events, deliveries and teaching sessions.

You will work independently, use your initiative, and respond to changing priorities while helping keep access routes safe. Some duties may be at Riseholme campus and require flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience of basic repairs and maintenance.
• Understanding of health and safety.
• Comfortable working independently and using initiative.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure buildings and carry out routine inspections.
• Complete minor repairs and setup rooms for events and deliveries.
• Support campus events and deliveries with flexibility for evenings and weekends.
• Keep access routes safe and report maintenance concerns.
• Occasionally support duties at Riseholme campus.
