Job summary

Derby College Group (DCG) is seeking a Cleaning & Hygiene Operative to join our Estates team at Broomfield Hall campus. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, manage hygiene standards, and operate cleaning equipment to maintain a welcoming environment for students and staff.

Shifts run 6am–12pm, Monday to Friday. The role offers ongoing development opportunities, a generous leave entitlement, pension options, and uniform provision within a supportive, inclusive college setting.

Qualifications

• Experience of completing cleaning duties in a large commercial environment.
• Able to work well in a team in a customer-facing role.
• Able to manage time efficiently and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide a daily quality cleaning service to the client.
• Maintain standards of cleanliness, hygiene, litter control and tidiness.
• Operate cleaning machinery and supplies to get the job done.
• Create a welcoming environment for students and employees.
• Shift times are 6am - 12pm, Monday to Friday.
