Job summary

UK Management College Derby is recruiting a reliable Cleaner to join our Facilities team. The role covers daily campus cleaning, reception cover, and light admin tasks, supporting a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff.

You will maintain offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, and washrooms; ensure stock levels, liaise with contractors, and assist with room setups and events. Flexible to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends, with 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities.
• Attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe practices.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible, reliable, and punctual.
• Physically able to meet the demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, washrooms, reception areas, and communal spaces.
• Carry out routine cleaning, sanitising, and waste disposal in line with health and safety standards.
• Replenish cleaning materials, consumables, kitchen supplies, and washroom stock.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and report maintenance issues or health and safety concerns.
• Support the setup and clearing of meeting rooms, training rooms, and events.
• Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers regarding facilities-related matters.
• Assist with office moves, workplace improvements, and facilities projects as required.
