Job summary

UK Management College Derby campus is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join the Facilities team. The role covers maintaining cleanliness across offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, and reception areas, with occasional reception cover.

Permanent, full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week with flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Opportunities for professional development, pension, and free onsite parking are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, janitorial, facilities, or workplace support role.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good understanding of cleaning products, equipment, and safe working practices.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to undertake the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, washrooms, reception areas, and communal spaces.
• Carry out routine cleaning, sanitising, and waste disposal in line with health and safety standards.
• Replenish cleaning materials, consumables, kitchen supplies, and washroom stock.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and report maintenance issues or health and safety concerns.
• Support the setup and clearing of meeting rooms, training rooms, and events.
• Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers regarding facilities-related matters.
• Assist with office moves, workplace improvements, and facilities projects as required.
