Job summary

The Joseph Wright Centre at Derby College Group (DCG) is seeking a Cleaning & Hygiene Operative to join our Estates team. You will perform daily cleaning duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the centre, using cleaning equipment and supplies as required to keep facilities welcoming for students and staff.

You will work 6am–2pm, Monday to Friday, ensuring areas are ready for the college day.

Qualifications

• Experience completing cleaning duties in a large commercial environment.
• Able to work as part of a team in a customer-facing role.
• Flexible and able to work under pressure; time management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide a daily quality cleaning service to the client and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, litter control and tidiness.
• Operate cleaning machinery and supplies to complete tasks.
• Ensure a welcoming environment for students and employees.
