Job description

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and creative Band 6 CAMHS Practitioners to join our Core CAMHS Team.

Our multi-disciplinary team offers diverse professional approaches, including Family Therapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Social Work, and Mental Health Practitioners. We work with young people experiencing moderate to severe emotional, behavioural, or mental health difficulties. We believe that service user participation and feedback are integral to developing and delivering person-centred and inclusive services.

Ideal candidates will have a strong teamwork ethic, the ability to work autonomously, personal accountability, and the capacity to work well under pressure. You will have access to regular individual and group clinical supervision, CPD opportunities, and the support of a robust multidisciplinary team. You will also support the team to ensure smooth service operation, contribute to research, evaluation, and service development to ensure responsive, effective, and equitable care.

As a CAMHS practitioner, your primary work setting will be our outpatient clinic, but you may also be required to provide support in other environments such as homes, schools, or community settings to meet the needs of children and young people.

Your role involves delivering high-quality care that empowers children and young people, supports their recovery, and involves them in service development and care planning. You will work as an integral part of the CAMHS locality team, providing assessments, interventions, and care coordination to children, young people, families, and carers. We value a positive, creative, and flexible approach to care delivery, working in partnership with service users, their networks, and wider professional teams.

If you seek a new challenge, enjoy variety, and want to be part of a team making a difference for children, young people, and families, we would love to hear from you. We offer support and guidance to foster your development within the role.

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate health and social care to improve the wellbeing of those we serve, supporting them to lead fulfilling lives.

Our clinical teams deliver NHS services across inpatient, primary care, and community settings, including services for children, adults, older people, forensic and specialist mental health, learning disabilities, primary care, liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, social care, and research & development.

We aim to recruit high-calibre candidates who share our vision and values. As an equal opportunity employer, we encourage applications from all community sectors, especially under-represented groups such as disabled individuals, ethnic minorities, and LGBTQ+ communities.

Please note: We reserve the right to close adverts early if we receive sufficient applications. Unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship for all roles; applications for roles without sponsorship will be rejected.
