Job description

We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and creative Band 6 CAMHS Practitioners to join our Core CAMHS Team.

We are a multi-disciplinary team offering a diverse range of professional approaches, including Family Therapy, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Psychotherapy, Psychiatry, Social Work, and Mental Health Practitioners. We work with young people experiencing moderate to severe emotional, behavioural, or mental health difficulties. As a team, we believe that service user participation and feedback are integral to the development and delivery of services, supporting care that is person-centred and inclusive.

You will have a strong teamwork ethic, the ability to work autonomously, hold personal accountability, and work well under pressure. You will have access to regular individual and group clinical supervision, CPD opportunities within and outside of the service, and the support of a robust multidisciplinary team. You will also be expected to support the team to ensure the smooth running and organisation of the service, contributing to research, evaluation, and service development to ensure care is responsive, effective, and equitable.

As a CAMHS practitioner, you will primarily work within a clinical setting in our outpatient clinic, but you may also be required to provide support in other environments such as home, education, or community settings to meet the needs of children and young people.

Your role will be to deliver high-quality care that empowers children and young people, supports their recovery, and involves them in service development and care planning. You will work as an integral member of the CAMHS locality team, providing assessments, interventions, and care coordination to children, young people, families, and carers. A positive, flexible, and creative approach to care delivery, working in partnership with service users, their networks, and wider professional teams, is essential.

If you are seeking a new challenge, enjoy variety in your work, and wish to be part of a team dedicated to making a difference for children, young people, and families, we would love to hear from you. We will provide the necessary support and guidance to ensure your development within the role.

Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is committed to high-quality, compassionate care to improve the health and wellbeing of those we serve, supporting and empowering them to lead fulfilling lives.

Our clinical teams deliver NHS services across inpatient, primary care, and community settings, including services for children, adults, older people, forensic and specialist mental health, learning disabilities, primary care & liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, social care, and research & development.

We aim to recruit high-calibre candidates who share our vision and values. As an equal opportunities employer, we encourage applications from all community sectors, particularly from underrepresented groups including disabled people, ethnic minorities, and LGBTQ+ communities.

Please be advised that we reserve the right to close the advert earlier than the closing date if sufficient applications are received.

Regrettably, we cannot offer sponsorship for all roles. If you apply for a role without sponsorship available, your application will be rejected.
