Job summary

South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust seeks a CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Specialist Practitioner to join the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service at Springfield Hospital. You will support ADHD/ ASD assessments, gather information, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers clinical supervision and opportunities to develop expertise in neurodevelopmental services, with a pathway toward future specialist training.

Qualifications

• Qualified clinician registered with the appropriate professional body (e.g., NMC or HCPC).
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Evidence of post-registration training or experience relevant to autism and mental health practice.
• Training in neurodevelopmental assessment.
• Formal training in assessment tools for autism (e.g., 3DI, ADOS, ADI-R).

Responsibilities

• Referral screening to support development, organisation and delivery of triage and assessment service.
• Contribute to ADHD and autism assessments by gathering information and presenting findings to the MDT.
• Participate in SPA duty function and provide Waiting Well contacts.
• Undertake clinical and school observations as part of the neurodevelopmental pathway.
• Disseminate research findings and assist in audits and service development.
