Job summary

South West London and St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust in London is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Prescriber to join the Merton CAMHS team, supporting the ADHD pathway.

The role requires NMC registration, CAMHS experience, and strong skills in multi-disciplinary work, risk management, safeguarding, and non‑medical prescribing.

You will lead on assessments, coordinate nurse‑led clinics, manage a caseload, and contribute to service development while delivering high quality care.

Qualifications

• Qualification as Nurse registered with the NMC.
• Experience of working with children and young people.
• Experience of work within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to relate and provide accessible services to a diverse community.
• Ability to efficiently manage a caseload.
• Knowledge and skills in risk management and safeguarding.
• Ability to offer assessments, offer individual and group intervention and liaison with the network.
• Experience of ADHD.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessments and management for CYP with ADHD and comorbid mental health issues.
• Lead on nurse-led medication review clinics within the service, including non‑medical prescribing.
• Manage a defined caseload and coordinate planning and treatment for CAMHS.
• Offer expert advice and consultation to the wider team on ADHD and related areas.
• Deliver training in assessment and interventions to CAMHS and other networks.
• Collaborate with medical colleagues and partner agencies across settings.
• Contribute to policy, service development, audits, and CPD opportunities.
