Job summary

EPUT is recruiting an additional activity co-ordinator for Poplar Adolescent Unit at Rochford Hospital to support 13-18 year olds with mental health needs through wellbeing, social, fitness and educational activities. You will work under Occupational Therapy staff, with baseline autism/mental health knowledge preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or previous relevant experience.
• Previous experience of working in the NHS.
• Experience of working with people with mental health problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop rapport with patients to encourage skills for recovery and wellbeing.
• Complete necessary statistical information (e.g., daily diary sheets).
• Attend departmental meetings as required.
• Support the OT Clinical Lead in gymnasium maintenance and safety policies.
• Be aware of development needs and keep mandatory training up-to-date.
