Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support students with SEND at a specialist school in Camden, London. The role focuses on helping children academically and socially, building confidence and independence while working closely with teachers and other professionals.

The successful candidate will join a nurturing environment that promotes inclusive learning and positive behaviour, with opportunities for potential permanent contracts and online training.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Previous experience in education, care, or support setting.
• Able to work 1:1 and in small groups.
• Commitment to inclusive, nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students within the classroom.
• Supporting students with their learning, communication, and development.
• Helping to promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, inclusive learning environment.
• Supervising students both inside and outside the classroom.
• Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
• Supporting teachers with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and resources.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other members of staff to meet individual student needs.
