Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a PDI / Service Technician in Cambridge. The role involves performing pre-delivery inspections and servicing, using digital workshop systems, with a 45-hour week including weekend shifts on a rota. Must hold a Level 2 qualification, a valid UK driving licence, and the right to work in the UK.

Salary: Up to £38,012 plus bonus. Benefits include extensive training, pension, life assurance, and staff discounts. Ref:31366.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience as a PDI Technician, Service Technician, Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Experience carrying out Pre Delivery Inspections and basic servicing is desirable.
• Comfortable using digital workshop systems and iPads.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre Delivery Inspections on customer and fleet vehicles.
• Complete routine servicing, including oil and filter changes.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure they are safe and ready for customer delivery.
• Complete digital job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
• Follow workshop processes and maintain high safety and quality standards.
• Use digital workshop systems and iPads as part of the repair and inspection process.
