Job summary

Octane Recruitment has a Bedford-based vacancy for a PDI / Service Technician. You will carry out Pre Delivery Inspections, routine servicing and ensure vehicles are safe for delivery, working in a busy dealership environment.

Applicants should hold a recognised Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK. The role offers a competitive £38,997 salary (plus bonus) and 45-hour weeks with weekend rota.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience as a PDI/Service/Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Experience performing Pre Delivery Inspections and basic servicing is desirable.
• Comfortable using digital workshop systems and iPads.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre Delivery Inspections on customer and fleet vehicles.
• Complete routine servicing, including oil and filter changes.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure they are safe and ready for customer delivery.
• Complete digital job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
• Follow workshop processes and maintain high safety and quality standards.
• Use digital workshop systems and iPads as part of the repair and inspection process.

PDI / Service Technician - Bedford

We are recruiting for an experienced PDI Technician, Service Technician, Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician to join a busy dealership in Bedford. Applicants must have previous Technician or Mechanic experience, hold a recognised Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK.

Location: Bedford

Salary: Up to £38,997 depending on experience + Bonus

Hours: 45 hours per week, including weekends on a rota
