Job summary

Randstad Education in Cambridge is seeking an enthusiastic Computer Science / ICT Teacher with QTS to deliver a dynamic curriculum across KS3, KS4, and KS5. The role is full-time with a temp-to-perm pathway, starting immediately in a thriving secondary school.

You will lead engaging theory and practical lessons, demonstrate programming (Python/Java/C#), assess students, and support progression to A-Levels while maintaining a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
• Proven track record delivering CS/ICT up to KS5 (A-Level) in UK secondary or FE setting.
• Clear communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to all abilities.
• Effective classroom management with high expectations.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one through Randstad).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact CS/ICT lessons across KS3, KS4 (GCSE), and KS5 (A-Level).
• Own full curriculum planning, demonstrate programming (Python/Java/C#), assess pupils, and prepare for exams.
• Support Sixth Form progression through algorithms, system architecture, OOP, and coursework.
• Maintain a focused, supportive lab environment with well-maintained equipment.
• Collaborate to refine schemes of work across key stages and support coding/cyber clubs.
