Job summary

Rising Hope Education Ltd is seeking an Autism & Communication Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 class in a specialist SEND school in East London from September. You’ll help pupils with autism with communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs and assist transitions and social development.

The ideal candidate will be calm, emotionally intelligent and genuinely interested in understanding autism. This is a long-term opportunity with a September start, 08:30–16:30, full-time.

Qualifications

• Experience working in SEND settings is preferred.
• Autism understanding and communication support skills are desirable.
• Calm, emotionally intelligent approach to challenging behaviours is valued.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with autism in communication, sensory needs and emotional regulation.
• Assist transitions and social development.
