Job summary

Simply Education Ltd. is recruiting a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a Specialist Primary Alternative Provision setting in Longsight, Manchester. The role offers 35 hours per week, with a pro rata salary of 23,114 per annum.

This full-time position is temporary to permanent, delivering 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH/ADHD and related needs. Pupils benefit from consistent strategies to develop emotional regulation, confidence and social skills,

Qualifications

Experience supporting children or young people with additional or complex needs.
Ability to guide positive behaviour and support emotional regulation.
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
Reliable, punctual and consistent in supporting pupils daily.
Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
Provide two professional references covering the past two years.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access learning.
Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills.
Use consistent strategies (including Team Teach) to promote safety and positive behaviour.
Work closely with teachers and staff to deliver structured, engaging activities.
Create a calm and supportive classroom environment where pupils can thrive and stay focused.
