Job summary

Maylandsea Primary School is seeking a learning support assistant to work with a child with ASD and ADHD, providing emotional support, structure, and learning encouragement during lessons and interventions.

The role is term-time only, 10 hours per week (2 hours per day, 13:15–15:15, Monday to Friday). Prior experience is desirable but not essential, with training and team support provided.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy skills; GCSE or equivalent in English and maths desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support in lessons and run interventions under teachers' direction.
• Provide dedicated support to a child with ASD and ADHD, aiding emotional regulation and learning.
• Support groups of pupils and individuals with additional needs as part of a team.
