Job summary

Tesco Café is recruiting a Team Member to join our busy cafe team. You’ll help with cooking, chatting with customers, and ensuring all dishes meet safety standards while keeping equipment and tables clean. It’s a lively role with flexible hours and opportunities for progression across Tesco Cafés.

We value hospitality, teamwork and reliability, and we welcome applicants who can work well under pressure and fit into our fast-paced environment. Applicants must be 18 or over.

Qualifications

• Commitment to hospitality and excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen equipment and utensils clean and tidy.
• Serving customers quickly, efficiently and with care.
• Following food safety and hygiene regulations while keeping daily records.
• Practising FIFO stock rotation to keep our food fresh.
• Accepting deliveries and handling the safe storage of food.
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food according to our café’s delicious menu.
• Maintaining café standards and ensuring all food products are available.
• Knowing our café’s menu and serving items as intended.
• Resolving customer complaints and passing information to the Café Manager.
• Clearing and sanitising tables to keep the cafe clean.
