Job summary

Blue Arrow is seeking an experienced Café Supervisor (Barista) for a busy garden centre cafe in Lawrence Weston, Bristol. The role focuses on hands-on hospitality, strong barista skills, and supervising a small team to deliver excellent service.

You will manage day-to-day operations, maintain hygiene standards, handle stock, take responsibility for opening and closing, and support staff during busy periods. Part-time hours approx 30 per week with weekend work required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Café Supervisor or similar management role.
• Trained Barista with hands-on coffee-making ability.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate (or above).
• Experience managing stock control and ordering.

Location: Lawrence Weston, Bristol

Pay Rate: £15.56 per hour

Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week (5 x 6-hour shifts)

Contract: Part-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Supervisor to join a busy garden centre café in Lawrence Weston. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on hospitality professional with strong barista skills and experience supervising a small team.

You will play a key role in the day‑to‑day operation of the café, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high food hygiene standards, managing stock levels, and supporting staff to deliver a smooth and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising the daily operation of the café
• Leading, supporting, and motivating café staff
• Preparing and serving high-quality coffees and speciality drinks
• Maintaining stock levels and placing orders when required
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations
• Completing and maintaining all required compliance paperwork
• Monitoring cleanliness, food safety and customer service standards
• Assisting with food preparation and service during busy periods
• Managing opening and closing procedures

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a Café Supervisor, Hospitality Supervisor, or similar management role
• Trained Barista with hands‑on coffee‑making experience
• Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate (or above)
• Experience managing stock control and ordering
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Availability to work weekends
