Job summary

Costa at Compass Group UK is seeking a part-time Cafe Supervisor to craft drinks and deliver excellent service in a busy high-street setting. The role supports progression within a company that values its people and recognises great performance.

You’ll work up to 30 hours per week, with variable shifts, in around 6,000 venues, enjoying competitive pay and vibrant development opportunities with one of the UK’s leading hospitality groups.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience is required.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment is preferred.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drinks and serve high-quality food to delight customers.
• Keep the bar area clean and well-organised.
• Receive and process payments (cash and cards).
• Be a proactive team player and effective communicator.
• Maintain stock of mugs and plates.
• Learn about brewing methods and beverage presentation.
• Check equipment operation and report maintenance needs.
• Represent Costa and maintain a positive brand image.
• Follow Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations.

We're currently recruiting a driven Cafe Supervisor to help us create beautifully crafted drinks for a major High Street brand on a part time basis, contracted to 30 hours per week. As a Barista, you will use your skills to deliver first-class service and perfectly crafted coffees to our customers. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Costa and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
