Corner Corner is a ground-breaking collaboration between Broadwick, renowned for transforming venues like Printworks and Drumsheds into cultural landmarks, and KERB, pioneers of London's street food scene. Situated in the heart of Canada Water, Corner Corner is a dynamic destination where food, music, and sustainability converge. At the core of Corner Corner is a commitment to sustainability, exemplified by London's largest commercial indoor vertical farm developed by Harvest London. This innovative farm supplies fresh, locally grown produce directly to our food hall and all-day café, fostering a hyper-local food ecosystem. Our venue features a curated selection of independent food vendors, an all-day café, and a vibrant live music program, creating a unique cultural hub that celebrates the diversity of London's culinary and artistic communities.

As Café Supervisor at Corner Corner, our newest neighbourhood venue in Canada Water, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering an outstanding daily offer of coffee, light food, and exceptional hospitality. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll oversee the opening of the space each day, ensuring the venue is set up, coordinating the team, and maintaining high standards of hospitality. This position is ideal for someone excited to be hands-on in running a café within a purpose-driven and growing business. You’ll need strong knowledge of coffee, the ability to guide a team with clarity and composure, and a genuine enthusiasm for great food, drinks, and people. You'll also contribute to the broader success of the venue - whether that’s helping to run a small private event or offering input on new menu ideas.

What you'll be doing
  • Carry out keyholder duties, including opening the venue and preparing the café for daily service
  • Help manage the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring consistency and high standards in hospitality
  • Provide guidance, training, and encouragement to the front-of-house café team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Ensure excellent guest experiences by maintaining high standards in coffee preparation, customer service, and consistency
  • Monitor stock levels, coordinate ordering and deliveries via MarketMan, and implement effective daily systems
  • Use and troubleshoot the Lightspeed till system, including processing payments, generating reports, and assisting team use
  • Participate in seasonal menu planning, contributing ideas that reflect customer preferences and current trends
  • Assist with the coordination of small events in the space, ensuring they run smoothly and guests feel welcome
  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives focused on sustainability, inclusivity, and community engagement
  • Uphold cleanliness, compliance, and EHO standards at all times
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on rota planning and staff scheduling
What you'll bring to KERB
  • Proven experience in a café, hospitality, or bar setting, with confidence in preparing and serving high-quality coffee
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to take initiative and manage keyholder responsibilities reliably
  • Confidence in managing stock and supplier relationships, including placing orders and conducting stocktakes
  • A genuine passion for delivering great hospitality and contributing to team growth
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to set a positive example through actions and attitude
  • Involvement in small private events or in-venue activities, ensuring smooth and welcoming experiences
  • Solid knowledge of food hygiene, safety protocols, and industry best practices
Desired but not essential
  • Experience using Lightspeed EPOS and MarketMan
  • A Personal License holder (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Previous experience in scheduling and rota planning
  • Experience working in a mission-driven or sustainability-focused business
What you'll get by joining KERB
  • Generous F&B discount across KERB food and drinks
  • Access to Employee Assistance Program (Hospitality Action)
  • Perks at Work discounts
  • 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays) + birthday day off
  • London Living Wage and Disability Confident Committed employer
  • A Best Companies accredited employer
