Job summary

Tesco Cafés seek a Café Manager with a passion for customer service and proven people management skills. You’ll oversee daily operations, train and develop a friendly team, and ensure high standards of service, safety and legality across the cafe.

You’ll lead by example, coach inclusively, and adapt your leadership style to different people and situations while driving sales and maintaining a welcoming, clean environment for customers.

Qualifications

• Background in hospitality at supervisory level or above
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• People management to lead by example and coach inclusively
• Excellent planning and organisation skills
• Strong communication to motivate and support a growing team
• Willingness to adapt leadership style to different people and situations
• 18+ to apply

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall running of the cafe, including routines, processes, and sales standards
• Hold full profit and loss accountability for the cafe
• Maximise sales and presentation while ensuring safety and legal compliance
• Lead and inspire the team to hit sales targets
• Understand the service plan drivers and deliver to the required standard
• Select, train and develop team members to take pride in their work
• Act as a cafe menu expert and share knowledge with the team
• Ensure customers are served quickly with high quality food and drinks in a clean environment
