Job summary

Morrisons Cafés are a hub in our stores, serving hundreds of local customers daily with breakfast, coffee and cake. Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll lead a welcoming Café, drive service standards, and keep stock availability high so every customer leaves happy.

You’ll manage shifts, support your team, and work to hit store targets while maintaining food safety and an inviting atmosphere. This role offers genuine career progression within Morrisons.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and supporting a team in fast-paced hospitality.
• Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Hands-on approach to food safety, waste, and stock control.
• Ability to plan shifts and manage daily priorities.

Whether it's a hearty breakfast or a freshly brewed coffee and a slice of cake, our Cafés are proud to serve hundreds of local customers every day.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll bring a proactive approach to running a welcoming, vibrant Café. You'll lead your team to deliver outstanding service, keep stock availability high, and make sure every customer leaves happy.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Empower your team to deliver friendly, attentive service, listening to customer feedback to make sure our Café is always a warm, welcoming place to pop by.
• Lead and support your team: Manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues have the confidence to succeed and grow.
• Drive performance and standards: Lead an encouraging, performance-driven department, guiding colleagues to work with purpose against all operational and sales targets.
• Keep operations running smoothly: Plan resources thoroughly, manage daily team routines, and build strong working relationships with other store departments.

• Steps up: Is confident to step up as Manager in Charge when needed in the store.
