Job summary

Morrisons Café is hiring to lead a welcoming, high-performing team in-store. You’ll drive outstanding service, ensure stock availability, and maintain a warm atmosphere for hundreds of daily customers.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll run shift rotas, develop staff, and strive to meet both customer and sales targets while collaborating with other departments to keep everything running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and supporting a team in a fast-paced food or hospitality environment.
• Ability to run shifts and manage daily priorities.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• Practical approach to department routines; monitor food safety, waste and stock.
• Willingness to step up as Manager in Charge when needed.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll bring a proactive approach to running a welcoming, vibrant Café. You'll lead your team to deliver outstanding service, keep stock availability high, and make sure every customer leaves happy.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Empower your team to deliver friendly, attentive service, listening to customer feedback to make sure our Café is always a warm, welcoming place to pop by.
• Lead and support your team: Manage shift rotas, attendance, and talent development, delivering training so colleagues have the confidence to succeed and grow.
• Drive performance and standards: Lead an encouraging, performance-driven department, guiding colleagues to work with purpose against all operational and sales targets.
• Keep operations running smoothly: Plan resources thoroughly, manage daily team routines, and build strong working relationships with other store departments.
