Job summary

Loungers is seeking a full-time General Manager to lead Caldero Lounge, a local café bar. You will build and lead a hands-on team, ensuring exceptional hospitality and running the lounge as if it were your own.

You’ll work with the Head Chef to maintain food quality, control stock, manage GP and KPIs, and drive continuous improvement. This role supports career progression within Loungers and offers a rewarding, community-focused leadership opportunity.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of hospitality teams.
• Experience in restaurants, bars, cafés or coffee shops.
• Ability to recruit, train and develop staff.
• Strong understanding of GP, labour and KPIs.
• Hands-on, floor-based leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Own Caldero Lounge and manage shifts and standards.
• Recruit, develop and coach a strong team.
• Collaborate with Head Chef on food quality, stock and training.
• Monitor GP, labour, stock, NPS and use data to improve.
• Lead weekly HOD meetings across 14 shifts.
• Engage with the local community and maintain social media presence.
• Schedule rotas two weeks in advance and manage shift reporting.
