Job summary

Talosats Careers is seeking a trustworthy Keyholder for a part-time role at Bob and Berts Stranmillis in Belfast. You will act as the manager on duty during early mornings and weekends, handling opening/closing, cash handling, and leading the team to deliver high-quality coffee and service.

Applicants should have 1–2+ years of counter or retail leadership experience, be reliable, and flexible for early shifts, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency with POS systems and good math is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of barista or retail leadership experience.
• Extremely trustworthy and punctual; able to work independently, especially when opening or closing.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic math for cash handling.
• Strong communication and the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand long and lift up to 25–40 lbs.
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Opening/Closing Procedures: Safely open the coffee shop in the morning and securely close in the evening, incl. tills and alarms.
• Operational Leadership: Supervise baristas and floor staff during shifts, ensuring cleanliness, product quality, and service standards.
• Cash Handling & Security: Till reconciliation, deposits, and safe drops.
• Customer Service Excellence: Act as the first point of contact for complaints and escalations.
• Product Quality & Merchandising: Ensure high-quality coffee and oversee pastry and cafe supplies replenishment.
• Staff Training & Support: Mentor and train new baristas on systems, recipes, and policies.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards and report issues.
