Job summary

Bannatyne in Shrewsbury is seeking a part-time Cafe Bar Assistant to join the busy cafe bar team. You’ll greet guests, serve beverages and light snacks, and help maintain a clean, welcoming space for members.

If you have a friendly, customer-focused attitude, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, this role offers flexible hours, a competitive hourly rate of £12.71, and generous staff perks including gym access and discounted services.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
• L2 Food Safety & Hygiene certificate desirable.
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve members and guests with a friendly attitude.
• Prepare and serve beverages and light snacks.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the cafe bar area.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Provide information about the club’s services and facilities.
• Work with the team to create a welcoming atmosphere.

A typical day in the life of a Cafe Bar Assistant:

• Greet and serve members and guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages and light snacks efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the cafe bar area.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Provide information about the club’s services and facilities as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the team to create a welcoming atmosphere.
