Job summary

Bannatyne in Livingston is seeking a Cafe Bar Assistant to join our cafe bar team. You will greet members and guests, prepare a range of beverages and light snacks, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment on a busy club floor.

The role is part-time, 24 hours per week, at £12.71 per hour, with perks including a complimentary lunch or breakfast, a free gym membership, 28 days of annual leave (increased with tenure), and staff development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing, with a passion for customer service, and a positive attitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine interest in health, wellness and customer service.
• Desirable L2 food safety & hygiene certificate.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve members and guests with a friendly attitude.
• Prepare and serve beverages and light snacks.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the cafe bar area.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

A typical day in the life of a Cafe Bar Assistant:

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the cafe bar area.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Provide information about the club’s services and facilities as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the team to create a welcoming atmosphere.
