Job summary

Bannatyne in Carlisle is seeking a Cafe Bar Assistant to join our cafe bar team. This role is 16 hours per week at a rate of £12.71 per hour. You’ll be part of a dynamic hospitality environment, delivering excellent service to members and guests.

Your day will involve greeting guests, preparing beverages and light snacks, keeping the cafe bar clean, handling cash/card transactions, and assisting with stock and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or customer service is advantageous.
• Desirable L2 food safety and hygiene certificate.
• Passion for hospitality and providing great customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve members and guests with a friendly attitude.
• Prepare and serve beverages and light snacks.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the cafe bar area.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.

A typical day in the life of a Cafe Bar Assistant:

• Greet and serve members and guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages and light snacks efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the cafe bar area.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Provide information about the club’s services and facilities as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the team to create a welcoming atmosphere.
