Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a CAD Technician with a construction or joinery background to join a thriving family‑run company in Uckfield. You will design oak framed buildings using AutoCAD, producing 2D drawings for production and submitting designs for client approval.

The role involves liaising with suppliers and customers, keeping to timeframes and budgets, and is office based with Monday–Friday 9:00–17:30 hours.

Are you a CAD Technician or similar from a construction or joinery background with experience using AutoCAD, looking to join a thriving and vibrant family run company, offering tailored training on bespoke in-house software to make you a more well-rounded Draughtsperson?

In this role you will be joining a tight knit team of technicians where you will design oak framed buildings. This role will involve using AutoCAD to design 2D drawings for production, submitting them for approval, liaising closely with suppliers and customers, with some project management to ensure the efficiency of project delivery.

This company are well established within their industry and pride themselves on their high quality of work. They have been producing bespoke oak framed buildings for a range of blue-chip clients for decades and are looking to expand their design team to take on more work.

This role would suit a CAD Technician or similar from a construction or joinery background with experience using AutoCAD looking to join a stable company that will value you and offer training on bespoke design software to make you a more well-rounded CAD Technician.

The Role:
