Job summary

Rullion is recruiting a CAD Technician for bespoke joinery in Hertfordshire. You will develop architectural and design information into accurate workshop drawings for high-end joinery projects.

The role requires experience in bespoke joinery or fit-out, strong technical drawing skills, and attention to detail. You will work with design and production teams to ensure deliverables meet manufacturing needs and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience as CAD Technician or CAD Designer or Joinery CAD Technician.
• Experience in bespoke joinery, furniture, shopfitting, interiors or high-end fit-out.
• Strong understanding of joinery construction, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience producing detailed workshop/manufacturing drawings.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and develop practical production information.
• Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Strong communication with production and project teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for bespoke joinery and furniture.
• Developing architectural and design information into accurate workshop and manufacturing drawings.
• Producing plans, elevations, sections, details and setting-out drawings.
• Liaising with architects, designers, project managers and clients to resolve technical queries.
• Working closely with workshop and production teams to develop practical construction methods.
• Carrying out site surveys and measurements where required.
• Preparing cutting lists, schedules and material requirements.
• Reviewing drawings to ensure designs are accurate and suitable for manufacture.
• Managing drawing revisions and ensuring correct information issued to production.
• Supporting projects from initial design through to manufacture and installation.
• Identifying technical issues and providing practical solutions.
• Working to project programmes and meeting drawing deadlines.

CAD Technician – Bespoke Joinery | Hertfordshire

My client is a well-established, family-run specialist joinery and fit-out contractor with over 50 years of experience delivering high-quality bespoke joinery and fit-out projects across a range of sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CAD Technician to join their design and production team in Hertfordshire.

This would suit someone with a background in bespoke joinery, furniture, shopfitting or specialist fit-out who is looking for a long-term opportunity with an established business.

The Role

Working closely with the design, production and project teams, you will be responsible for developing architectural and design information into accurate workshop and manufacturing drawings for bespoke joinery projects.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a CAD Technician, CAD Designer, Technical Designer or Joinery CAD Technician.
• Experience within bespoke joinery, furniture, shopfitting, interiors or high-end fit-out.
• A strong understanding of joinery construction, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience producing detailed workshop/manufacturing drawings.
• The ability to interpret architectural drawings and develop them into practical production information.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with production and project teams.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.
