Job summary

S&B Utilities on Sizewell, Leiston, UK, seeks a CAD Technician to produce detailed civil and MEICA drawings and manage drawing packs on site. The role requires AutoCAD 2D proficiency, a relevant degree or HND, and a strong focus on accuracy and safety.

You will update as-built drawings, maintain contract folders, and assist in creating O&M manuals and health and safety documents. A full UK driving licence and solid MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• HND or Degree qualification.
• Knowledge of industry specifications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Positive attitude to safety and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design drawings (Civil & MEICA).
• Prepare site construction scaled drawings.
• Prepare fabricated drawings.
• Update red lined drawings to as built status.
• Manage design drawing folders and ensure up to date drawings within contract folders.
• Assist in the preparation of O&M manuals.
• Assist in the collation of H&S file information.
• Assist in the development of construction phase health and safety plans.
• Assist in the development of design risk assessments.
