Job summary

S&B Utilities is seeking a CAD technician to support civil and MEICA design activities within a collaborative team in the UK. The role requires accuracy, proactive communication and the ability to work to deadlines.

You will prepare detailed design drawings (Civil & MEICA), build site construction drawings, update red-lined drawings to as-built status, manage drawing folders, and assist in O&M manuals and health and safety documentation. A practical, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• HND or Degree qualification.
• Knowledge of industry specifications.
• Proficient in Auto-CAD (2D).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office package.
• Team player and proactive communicator.
• Confident & friendly with a can-do attitude.
• Practical, logical and adaptable, stays calm under pressure.
• Works well independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible with diverse working conditions and situations.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of detailed design drawings (Civil & MEICA).
• Preparation of site construction scaled drawings and fabricated drawings.
• Update all red lined drawings to as built status.
• Manage design drawing folders and ensure up-to-date drawings in contracts folders.
• Assist in the preparation of O&M manuals and HS file information.
• Assist in the development of construction phase health and safety plans.
