Job summary

BakerHicks seeks an experienced CAD Technician to join our Defence sector team, delivering high-quality 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and models across architectural, civil, structural, and building services projects. You will work on client sites, supporting accurate configuration management in a highly regulated environment.

You will collaborate with the CAD Team Lead and stakeholders, perform site surveys, manage drawing records, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with client

Qualifications

• Experience with architectural and building services coordination.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Architecture and AutoCAD MEP.
• Experience with Revit, Navisworks, and point cloud data is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Generate schematics, P&IDs, layouts using Autodesk tools.
• Support configuration control and maintain 'As Built' records.
• Perform site surveys and capture asset information.
• Liaise with clients to confirm project requirements.
• Collaborate with CAD Team Lead and stakeholders for timely delivery.
• Review technical requirements and propose efficient solutions.
• Mentor junior technicians when required.
• Follow CAD standards and document control processes.
