Job summary

Siemens Energy, Lincolnshire, is seeking a CAD Support Engineer to assist users of Siemens NX and its integration with Teamcenter. You will investigate issues, maintain supporting information, and help deploy CAD system updates.

You will collaborate with engineering users to ensure CAD tools and data support manufacturing, quality, and service activities, and contribute to PLM360 readiness for consistent CAD processes and digital workflows.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design, CAE, or related discipline.
• Academic or practical exposure to 3D CAD software through university modules, internships, or personal projects.
• Interest in developing skills in CAD & PLM tools—Siemens NX, Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for Siemens NX users, responding to CAD-related questions and escalating complex issues.
• Support testing and implementation of NX upgrades, maintenance releases, and system improvements; help prepare test scenarios and record results.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, IT, and project teams to understand user requirements and operational challenges.
• Support development and maintenance of consistent CAD modeling practices and templates.
• Contribute to alignment of CAD design structures with Teamcenter product structures.
• Assist with Model-Based Definition and PMI activities, improving 3D engineering information usage.
• Support CAD and PLM360 readiness activities, including testing and data reviews.
