Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced CAD and GIS Technician to support geotechnical and geoenvironmental deliverables on major UK infrastructure projects. You will produce and manage drawings, site layouts, hole locations and utility plans, while coordinating geospatial data within ISO 19650 compliant workflows.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in CAD, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying or GIS, with several years of AutoCAD experience and strong Civil 3D skills.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in CAD, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying or GIS, or equivalent.
• Autodesk, GIS or information management qualifications welcomed.
• Several years of experience; expert AutoCAD user with Civil 3D proficiency.
• Strong GIS knowledge and geospatial measurement systems; familiar with ISO 19650 and managed common data environments.

Responsibilities

• Produce, manage and coordinate high-quality drawings for ground investigation projects.
• Create site layout plans, exploratory hole locations, utility plans and cross sections.
• Manage geospatial data, survey data, mapping datasets and utility records.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure CAD standards and ISO 19650 compliance.
• Contribute to development of CAD standards, templates and workflows.
