Your New Role

Your role focuses on creating, maintaining, and designing technical documentation related to manufacturing and product delivery for both technical and non-technical customers and end-users. This documentation covers a range of products, services, manuals, and systems, tailored to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge, meeting commercial, leisure, operational, and regulatory requirements.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Document Creation and Maintenance: Use software like Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office to create, design, and update documentation such as manufacturing specifications, user manuals, and technical reports.
2. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with design, production, and engineering teams to ensure technical details are accurately captured and communicated.
3. Managing Product Lifecycle: Manage workload to ensure timely delivery of documents supporting the product lifecycle, including manufacturing processes, updates, and change management. Follow set brief requirements, work cross-functionally, and meet deadlines.
4. Tech Pack Management: Create and manage technical packs as references for internal and external teams, ensuring clarity and understanding by end-users. Use document management systems like PLM and SharePoint effectively.
5. Product Review: Collaborate with design, engineering, and quality teams to document inspection and review findings, providing clear instructions and solutions for manufacturers.
6. Special Projects: Create graphics, handle product critical dimensions for customer SMU requests, and follow through on final implementation post-approval.
7. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues raised by audits, design, or production teams regarding technical documentation, providing detailed feedback and solutions.
8. Documentation Standards: Draft and maintain high-standard technical and user documentation, ensuring effective language use and timely delivery. Create backup files for disaster recovery.
9. Issue Resolution: Review non-compliance issues and resolve ad hoc problems related to product materials, working closely with design engineers, internal, and external customers.

The Experience, Qualifications, and Skills You Will Have

• College A levels or BTEC in relevant degrees or undergraduate degrees
• 2-5 years of work experience
• Proven experience with Adobe Suite, specifically Adobe Illustrator
• Understanding of Gerber or PLM (not essential)
