About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM, based in Woking, Surrey, who are seeking an EDS CAD Design Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the Electrical Systems department with electrical wiring harness design.
2. Proven experience of 3-5 years as an EDS Design Engineer for an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
3. Familiarity with wiring harness design, change management process, DFM, vehicle assembly process, 2D drawings, and vehicle electrical architecture.
4. Ability to troubleshoot, resolve issues, document work, and communicate with customers.
5. Receive and analyze customer data, requirements, and develop 3D design proposals.
6. Establish optimal wiring harness routing and minimize quality risks.
7. Collaborate with project engineers and systems to complete full vehicle electrical wiring harness design.
8. Support digital and physical design reviews, raise concerns, and assist in issue resolution.
9. Lead 3D design freeze and gateway releases.
10. Complete all relevant documentation and reports.
