We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Designer to establish a long-term consultancy arrangement with a leading Offshore Engineering Consultancy. Working remotely on a project by project basis. Outside IR35.

Are you a skilled 2D AutoCAD Designer with experience in Offshore / Marine Structural projects? We're looking for a talented individual to contribute to exciting projects involving Mobile Offshore Drilling Units, Drillships, Platform Supply Vessels, and various marine vessels operating in the Petrochemical sector.
Role Overview
In this role, you will be working on a mix of permanent structures and sea fastening design, creating GA drawings, followed by detailed design drawings that include materials lists. Your work will involve structural detailing such as beams, brackets, welds, flanges, and bolted connections-ensuring the integrity and safety of offshore constructions.
Key Requirements

• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD for marine structural projects
• Experience with 3D software such as Solidworks would would be advantageous but not essential.
• Experience with offshore/marine vessels and associated structures
• Ability to produce GA concept followed detailed design drawings including materials take off.
• Strong understanding of structural detailing-including beams, brackets, welds, flanges, and bolted connections
• Fully remote consultancy work-must have own licensed AutoCAD software
• Position is outside IR35
