Job summary

SRT Marine Systems plc is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to work with project teams on build and national integration of systems. The role blends design, compliance and collaboration with clients, contractors and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will contribute to safe, practical designs aligned with industry standards, with occasional global travel and hybrid working from Bristol. A strong civil engineering background and CAD proficiency are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Degree level education or equivalent with formal training in civil engineering and/or geotechnical engineering.
• Strong experience in civil engineering industry and design of civil/geotechnical works.
• Experience of civil design for towers, data centres etc. would be beneficial.
• IT literate (Word, Excel, CAD).
• Excellent communication skills with customers.

Responsibilities

• Create technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Develop detailed plans and designs for projects.
• Ensure designs meet quality standards and technical specifications.
• Identify and resolve design issues and inaccuracies.
• Present designs and respond to client inquiries.
• Stay updated with design trends, software updates and regs.
• Prepare design project documentation and maintain records.
• Contribute to development of design aids and new concepts.
