The Production Programmer will be responsible for CAD/CAM programming of pressed and lasered parts, converting STP to DXF for manufacturing, and remote programming of press brake and laser equipment. The role includes timely data uploads to the MRP system and contributes to departmental standards within the Production Engineering team.

The position is based in Bolton, permanent, full-time, four days a week with typical hours as stated, offering a salary up to 35K plus life assurance and

Qualificações

• Good working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software (preferably Inventor)
• Experience in press brake operating
• Computer literacy
• Understanding of manufacturing processes
• Good communication skills, including ability to work in a team
• Problem solving skills
• Training and experience in metal fabrication and parts manufacturing

Responsabilidades

• CAD/CAM programming – read and interact with 2D/3D CAD drawings and convert STP to DXF for manufacturing
• Remote programming for press brake and laser machines
• MRP system data uploads
• Contribute to process optimisation and continuous improvement
• Design for manufacture – ensure parts are viable for manufacturing
• Identify tools, equipment, and fixtures to improve safety, quality and productivity
• Assist with capital expenditure justification and documentation
• Meet project KPI deadlines
• Perform ad hoc duties as required
